Contemporary Modern Jazz is an expressive dance style that blends fluid movements, dynamic turns, and powerful leaps with musicality and emotion. It draws influences from ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, creating a versatile and engaging experience.

At Take 1 Dance, our Contemporary Modern Jazz class is designed for beginner to intermediate children aged 8-14 years. The sessions focus on developing technique, coordination, flexibility, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable, moveable clothing and can dance barefoot or wear ballet/jazz shoes if they already own them.
